Billy Goat Trail

Gareth and I met one his old friends and dad for a hike on Billy Goat Trail at Great Falls National Park. The park is incredible and this hike, which we only completed part of the first trail of the Billy Goat Trails was amazing. The trail typically wanders across rounded limestone boulders the size of your car which jut precariously at the edge of a cliff over looking the Potomac river. See it in the picture far below Gareth. There was a lot of climbing, hopping from bone-crushing rock to rock and near sliding down smooth rock faces. I kept wanting to look for the remains of hikers at the base of the cliffs but couldn't get close enough to look; I'm sure there must be many bones down there.
